2010 Tryouts
2010 Fall Tryouts
As the season winds down, and Fall Tryouts are just around the corner, I would like to remind everybody that the proper procedures are as follows:
YSBA RESIDENTS -- Minor Bantam aged Players and Up:
Open Tryouts (no paperwork required) run from September 15 to October 31/09 for players wishing to tryout for another Local (team) within York Simcoe.
A player wishing to tryout with another Local within York Simcoe outside of the specified dates above must have a Release from the Club they last played with and, if applicable, the Local where they reside.
YSBA RESIDENTS -- Peewee and Below:
Where a Local Association has a team Pee Wee or lower, players in these categories may not transfer to another team outside their Local Association.
Where no Rep team exists in a Local Association for these divisions or a player is cut from a team, the player may appeal to the YSBA Executive for a Release to another team within the YSBA.
NON-YSBA RESIDENTS
Any Minor Bantam aged and above, player from outside the YSBA wishing to tryout for a YSBA team must have their Affiliate Release before attending any tryouts in YSBA.
Transfer to a Team Outside the YSBA
In addition to a Local Association Release, a player requires a YSBA Release to tryout for any team outside the boundaries of the YSBA at anytime.
For all players’ requesting a YSBA Release, a Request to Release form must be completed and submitted to Alan Reisler, Chair of the Release Committee.

No release hearings will be heard from the period July 1st to September 15th of each calendar year.
