2025 YSBA REP PLAYER TRANSFERS & RELEASES

Rep and Select Policies & Procedures

Please review the current YSBA Rep and Select Policies & Procedures document for detailed information about YSBA Rep player transfers and releases.
Any player that resides outside of the YSBA Boundaries must obtain a release from their Local Associaiton AND Affiliate Association before attending YSBA tryouts.

Players Wishing to Leave YSBA

Any 8U-18U YSBA player wishing to try out for a Rep team outside the YSBA must first obtain all required releases from both their home Local and the association where they played the previous season (if different). The player must then request an affiliate release from the YSBA, as described in the YSBA Rep and Select Policies & Procedures.

Note: A copy of all required release(s) must accompany the YSBA release request.

The YSBA will not review the request until all documents have been received.

Players Wishing to Enter YSBA

Any 8U-18U player whose playing rights are held by a Local Association that is not a member of the YSBA, will require release(s) from their home Local Association, the Association where they last played (if different), and their Affiliate Association before they can try out for any YSBA team.

EBLO (Elite Baseball League of Ontario)

YSBA participates in the EBLO.
Locals will be able to create Elite teams from 15U to 18U in accordance with the EBLO rules, regulations, and benchmarks.
